WALDORF-INSPIRED EDUCATION
At the Sequoia School, we follow the Waldorf approach which focuses on a child’s mind, body, and spirit. Hands-on, play-based learning happens in a home-like setting with predictable routines. Out teachers seek to foster an inner drive for learning and to uncover a child’s innate strengths and abilities. The Waldorf method excludes any kind of media (computers, video, or any electronics), and our educational program aims to elevate the imagination and creativity of our children. Children learn best when they work together to explore their surrounding, to attain a knowledge about the world through discovery and trial and error.
OUR BELIEF
Research has shown that 90 percent of brain develops during a child's first five years of life. At Sequoia School, our approach entails nurturing both the mind and body throughout the formative years of our children. We support a strong foundation of social, physical and artistic development through a rhythmical and seasonal curriculum. These instrumental years are the gateway for children as they begin to unfold their capacities and their love of life and learning.
